Penn Relays Step Show – April 24, 2010
After taking the victory at Temple University, Brother Damon DeShields stepped with the Goon Squad (Philadelphia All-star Step Team) to win another victory with a phenomenal performance at the Penn Relays step show a week later. Lambda Nupes showed overwhelming support at the event storming the stage as the winners were announced.
Free Food & Fun Friday Event – March 26, 2010
The Lambda Nupes coordinated with the Temple University Black Public Relations Society to put together one of the most memorable Free Food & Fun Friday event that Temple University has ever seen. The theme of the night was game shows, so the two shows that were facilitated were “Wild & Krazy Kids” and “So You Think You Can Shimmy?”. There was also a Mario Kart 64 tournament along with a number of other activities. Winners of the contests received gift cards, free movies passes, a Nintendo Wii with Mario Kart, and an iPod Touch. Shoutout to the Lambda Nupes for having the most largest attendance at a Free Food & Fun Friday event all semester.
East Coast Step Show – March 20, 2010
Brother Damon DeShields performed with the Goon Squad Philadelphia All-Star step team at the East Coast Step Show in Fayetteville, NC for a spectacular performance.
B-B-Body Ya... - March 2010
Brothers Steven Howell and Anthony Leyro traveled up to the 80th annual North Eastern Province Council Meeting in New York. While staying up there, they decided to give big brother Walusako Mwalulino a call since he lives in the area. Turns out he was shooting a video for Fabolous and needed two extras for the video. “Body Ya” by Fabolous ended up being MTV’s “Jam of the Week” videos, meaning you could see these two dapper young brothers every hour.
Headquarters Interns
Congratulations to Brothers Anthony Leyro and Zachary Twyman for receiving internships at Kappa Alpha Psi Headquarters in February 2010. These are privileged positions and difficult to obtain.
